Increasing competition and workload affects the child’s and parents mental health, doesn’t it??

Being competitive is good until and unless it helps to become better but if it becomes burdensome
then there is no need of being competitive; instead of taking pressure or giving pressure on your
child, make the learning fun and reduce the pessimism (if he/she fails or is unable to reach the set target, it
may lead to depression) within the child.
If the competition increases unnecessarily then it destroys the
self-esteem of the child. No doubt competition enhances the potential of the child and prepares kids for upcoming adult-life situations. It develops important life skills and human emotions
like empathy, expansion of their comfort zone and help kids to face and learn from failure.
Give them the time required to understand what they wish to do and let them take upon the challenge. The
decision-making abilities are magnified. Time management skill need to be taught for activities such as
outdoor games & extracurricular work as it inculcates essential social skills.
It's a fact that in school settings, sports and even at home, competition surrounds them but it is
very clear that competition has the potential to be both an enriching and stressful part of children's lives.
