Living in the village is like living in the beauty shell of this world. Rural life is all about Staying in the reality and having 20% contact with the Virtual world. Every time I visit my village I end up making Numerous unforgettable memories. This year as well I visited my village and had a great time there!
I reached my village when the sun was right on the head. My grandmother was standing on the doorstep, ready to welcome us with her warm hugs and twinkling eyes. Her grin from ear to ear was telling us that she was ecstatic to meet us after the lockdown.
The best part of visiting one’s hometown is that you get to eat farm-fresh fruits and vegetables !! My grandmother had kept lunch ready for us to devour on. After having lunch we decided to take a walk through the farms. Walking through sugarcane fields without getting scratched by the leaf blades is an art in itself. It’s like walking through a laser maze.
Every time I visit my village I find all the textual knowledge that we study being applied by the people. As everything is not affordable ,villagers come up with creative solutions for their problems. For example our neighbours had made their own drum heater by simply using a coil heater and a drum. It was pretty amusing to me.
In village, it seems like time runs at a slo-mo speed. In addition to that internet does not fancy entertaining you in villages. So you may rarely find good network in this region. But the cows, buffalos, goats, cocks and hens never let me get bored. For some reason running behind chickens has always been fun (if you just want to chase them away). The best part for me during my village visit was that I got to carry a kid (baby goat) in my hands and it was a fabulous experience for me.
Less pollution in the countryside gives you a chance to gaze at the spectacular view of the shining moon and twinkling stars in the night sky. Fireflies making the trees glow is an
eye-blessing site to watch. I was lucky enough to be able to witness some shooting stars as well! The glamorous sky, soothing ambience, cool breeze, and a bonfire is an experience that every person living in urban areas wishes to have. Luckily I get to enjoy this experience twice a year.
Every visit to my hometown has brought me closer to nature. The village experiences for me are like none other. I wish to visit my village soon!
