Every Indian dish is different in its own way. Spicy food sway's our taste buds with piquancy whereas sweet edibles delight you with its rich, sugary flavour that can’t stop you from having another yummy bite. Right from the lip-smacking, whipped lassi to the nutritious and squashy idli sambhar and from the crunchy, spicy butter-melting pav bhaji to the mouth-watering, luscious rasgulla, Indian dishes have proved their versatility










One of the best street foods

Every city of India has a food corner street where Indian food fair is organised every day. Some of the dishes which we don’t miss out are, ever tempting Gol Gappa ( AKA Puchka, Paani Ke Batashe ), varieties in the Puri cuisine ( Sev Puri, Dahi Puri ), Bombay vada pav, Ragada Patis and Falooda, sugarcane juice, malai kulfi for those with a sweet tooth



Indian traditional food system

Recipes of favourite Indian dishes are passed on From generations in every house, few dishes which our moms are expert in rustling up are Dosa, Puran Poli, Pav Bhaaji, Khichadi, Poha, Rajma Chaawal, Chole Bhature.


Desi style of foreign dishes

Many exotic dishes were brought to us by foreign countries but Indian blended it in their own style and received a spot in hearts of foreign foodies ., Example – Hyderabadi biryani ( from Arabic biryani ) gulab jamun ( from Persian sweet consisting of rose flavoured water ).


Desi ingredients

Indians have always combined simple but natural Ingredients to make the best dishes ever, acknowledged all over the world. Many countries import Indian ingredients like spices from Kerala ( spice capital of India), Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh.


New forms of common Indian dishes

As time is passing, Indians are introducing new forms of old dishes like fire/cold Paani Puri, fire/cold Paan, Tandoori tea, silver/gold sweet, etc


I am going to try my best to have at least one bite of the maximum Indian dishes – this is on the top of my bucket list, what about you?
