HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY

India is the only country with maximum, varied, religious people with different regions possessing it's own language, culture and traditions, but there are two days when the tradition of celebrating the patriotic festival in every region is the same, one of them is 26th January, Republic Day of India.

All of us know that Republic Day is celebrated to commemorate the day when the Constitution of India came into working. Many people think that Constitution is a simple law book, so why do we celebrate the day when it was brought into effect? Constitution that consists of rules, regulations, laws and orders to be followed by every citizen of India is not just a book compiled of pages, but an aide-memoire that is compiled of responsibilities that are ought to be followed by Indians

As a patriotic day, every educational institutions and workplaces celebrate it by hoisting the Indian tricolour, and reciting the National Anthem. 26th January, for today's generation of India is well known as a national holiday and a day of composure which is a fact, but very few know the rationale behind this day. It's not just a day that reminds us of the existence of the Constitution that is a very important aspect of India but it reminds us about every article and law mentioned in it for our welfare. Now the question that should arise in our minds is that, are we really following the rules made for us and by us in the constitution? Actually No. It's the human nature to commit a wrong act mischievously, but what about those acts that are committed purposely? No one is perfect, but can't we try to not be totally imperfect? Today small children are also committing acts that are against the constitutional laws, which we call as crime. These days it seems that , criminal acts are more than the laws in the constitution. That's why there are circumstances where the laws in the constitution have to be modified.

Many people believe in living a life in their own way, that's why they deny to follow these laws but a fact should be known that the base of constitution is democracy- freedom of action, words, thoughts, etc but freedom comes with responsibility it's our duty to work and amplify our county's voice all over the world.

So let's not just celebrate this 26th January with the outer mind by eating sweets, relaxing at home only but also with inner mind by promising to our nation and ourselves that we will respect our Constitution . Jai Hind
