Sports is not just about winning or losing, it's all about being on with the game, striving hard to achieve a goal, being focused and so much more. It is very easy to criticize a player for his single mistake but it takes a big heart to appreciate his efforts and the sacrifices he has made to achieve his current position.

Being a successful sportsperson is not an easy job. It takes a lot of determination, self-motivation, focus, burning desire, iron will power and the ability to accept failure. For a renowned player, it takes nerves of steel to perform his best in front of a huge audience and lead the team under high-pressure circumstances. It is very necessary to be optimistic in order to succeed in any field.

It takes lots of efforts to maintain the top position than the efforts needed to get there, as once you become a topmost player and start representing your country, you don't just play for yourself, you play for numerous youngsters who look up to you as their inspiration. A lot of countrymen have expectations from you and as it is said - With great power comes responsibility, and it is true indeed.
In order to be a successful sportsperson you need to have a competitive spirit and learn from your mistakes because every time you improve your mistake, you grow.
