Youth embraces the polyamorous
And embarrasses the singles
Those who prefer love over lust
Are looked at as odd conventionals
Compassion seems like an outcast
Between the notions made aloud
Ignorance dominates the judgement
Of the leaders those who vowed
Knowledge seems to be compromised
Between todays literate crowd
Conservative societies seem to be
The ignorant's new hideout
Between the consequences of rumours
The innocents silently bear
The voices endeavouring to protest
Become the society's Solitaire
The lustful eyes of some
prey on the charms of the other
When they knock the doors of Justice
They get due dates after another
The beauty and the fashion today
Mock the variation in skin colour
Comfort walks on high heels
While the standards get crueler
The liberty of the people
With bigotry the society renders
Caste decide occupations
And the potentials are shadowed by genders
The great uprising for betterment
Burns within our heart
But can we leave our prejudices behind
And make a reviving start?

I loved the last stanza.
"But can we leave our prejudices behind
And make a reviving start?"
The question is, can we?
